The Rotate Tool is Cool

hroell

Okay. I know it's been a minute since I wrote last. Life has been a bit busy. However (and because), I'm taking this amazing Vector class right now and learning all sorts of new ways to use my tools. One of the cool things I learned was using the Rotate Tool in Illustrator.

I choose the Rotate Tool on the left menu. It opens a menu asking how much angle is wanted in the rotation. However, before committing to anything, with the tool selected, if you Option Click on a spot, copy in the Rotation Tool Menu, Command D, it will rotate around that spot! It's so neat! I have a piece I'm working on that uses it for a sunrise.

Shameless plug: Support your local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts! Another reason I've been busy is I've been helping my local scouting organizations. Both organizations have fundraisers going on right now to help fund their year of activities. Boy Scouts are selling popcorn and Girl Scouts are selling Fall Product. Both organizations give back 30%+ directly to the troop and for Boy Scouts, another 40% stays local. If you need a local Boy Scout or Girl Scout to buy from, here are a couple links:
