ACC Drama Spring 2023 Course Fliers
About:
The ACC Drama Department uses fliers and online graphics to advertise upcoming classes for the next semester.
Problem:
We wanted to showcase each degree plan on the the fliers, I needed to keep a cohesive design for the entire Spring Course Selection, and we had several Art Directors wanting input on how their specific class flier looked. These fliers also needed to be produced in letter size for printing as well as Instagram size for their social media account. 2
Solution:
I opted to create icons for each of the degree plans and came up with a template that each Art Director could customize with pictures and text to make their courses shine. You can find some of my work still posted on the ACC Drama Instagram and Facebook accounts. They also used my templates for future semesters.
The Process
My main Art Director showed me examples of what the department used in the past so it gave me some ideas. They also wanted me to come up icons to represent each of the different degree plans.
I started sketching from there to come up with ideas for flyers and icons.
Digitizing the Icons
From there, we really focused on the icons for bit to nail those down. Instead of different icons for each degree plan, they wanted the same icon in different colors that had the degree plan listed underneath.
Digitizing the Flyers
We worked together to find layouts that left room for logos, icons, verbiage about the different courses, and contact information. Once we decided on a layout, we looked for pictures that showcased each of the unique course offerings. When we finalized the layout and the pictures, they were reformatted to fit on Instagram.
